United Migrant Rights Caravan to Northwest Detention Center!
The historic weekend culminated in a caravan from Oregon to the Northwest Detention Center (NWDC) in Tacoma, WA. Over 50 cars and close to 200 people drove from Oregon to join 650 others in front of the NWDC for a rally, featuring speakers from grassroots organizations calling attention to the rising fascism under Trump, the failures of home governments, and for an end to the unjust detention of migrants not just in Tacoma but across the United States. The resounding call was to build genuine solidarity against these fascist attacks and to grow the movement to defend migrant communities.
